I had heard great things about this place, but our experience was even better than I expected! I took my 2-year-old to the dentist for the first time today, and it was such a stress-free experience! I was so nervous about how he would do, but everyone was absolutely amazing with him. The office itself is beautiful and has such a calm, welcoming atmosphere, which made the whole experience feel even easier. Erica was so sweet and helpful getting us scheduled, Jerry was so nice at checkout, Anna was incredibly kind and gentle and made sure my kiddo felt comfortable every step of the way, and Dr. Killpack was wonderful as well. I’m so glad we chose this office, and we can’t wait to come back!

We have been a patient of Asheville Pediatric Dentistry for seven years with our three children. Dr. K was amazing and calm during my son’s double tooth extraction. He explained every step in age appropriate language, paused when needed and spoke to all of us including his assistant, kindly. Office staff were great also! They had everything ready to go with insurance, costs, school note and emailing receipts. Very appreciative!

Absolutely AMAZING place - great doctors, staff, everyone! Dr. Killpack was the first dentist we ever took our daughter to when she was 2, and we loved him and the office from the start. Unfortunately, after an insurance change (and move to Canton), we decided to try a couple of other dentists who accepted our insurance. Big mistake. We were at the point of scheduling our now 4-year-old for dental work under general anesthesia when we decided to get a second opinion from Dr. K—and I am so thankful we did. Because of his advice and the office’s more conservative, less aggressive approach to treatment, we no longer have to put her under general anesthesia. After some difficult experiences with the other dentists we tried, she now asks, “Are we going to see the nice dentist?” and is actually excited to go! She loves the office itself, too. They do such an incredible job making children feel safe, comfortable, and at ease. For us, they are absolutely worth the out-of-pocket expense. If you want your child to have a positive experience with the dentist, I cannot recommend this office enough. Worth every penny… and the drive!

Our family is so thankful for Dr. K, Dr. Jackson and the entire crew at Asheville Pediatric Dentist. They have treated us kindly, patiently, remained compassionate, all the while ensuring our kiddos get exactly what they need. Even in stressful scenarios, they remained calm, supportive and reassuring. We truly appreciate the way they care for our children and help making difficult moments feel manageable. Our experience has given the kiddos a positive outlook on the dentist!

I absolutely can’t say enough positive about our experience at AVL Pediatric Dentistry. My 9 yr old son needed 2 baby molars extracted and has had some medical trauma in the past, so I was definitely worried about this procedure. The dentist & technicians were so compassionate & gentle with him, and they used amazing metaphors for every tool & activity they did to keep him very calm and compliant. He had such a positive experience and was VERY proud of himself. All around an amazing experience!
